Description
Mocr is a monomeric version of the OCR protein of the T7 bacteriophage, which has shown solubility properties to be used as solubilization tag in order to avoid inclusion bodies formation of fusion proteins (DelProposto et al. 2008).
DelProposto et al. (2008) Mocr: A novel fusion tag for enhancing solubility that is compatible with structural biology applications. Protein Expr Purif. 63(1): 40-9
Notes
This part has the following prefix sites, EcoRI and BglII and as suffix sites, BamHI and SpeI. Through this way, it is possible to obtain fusion proteins in frame via BglII and BamHI sites, and also enables the use of Standard Assembly 10 vectors.
