Description

This is a coding part comprising the full open reading frame of the gene encoding the Salmonella enterica LT2 VgrG protein (also known as STM0279 or TssI). VgrG is an important component of bacterial Type VI Secretion Systems and is believed to locate at the very tip of the Type VI secretion device. Normally, therefore, this protein would be considered to be a secreted protein and to be located outside of the bacterial cell.

Notes

The Salmonella vgrG gene did not require any modification to meet RFC[10] standard.

Source

Amplified by PCR from Salmonella LT2 genomic DNA.
