Description
This construct was developed by Northwestern's 2012 iGEM team as part of a phytase producing vector meant to self lyse in high chloride and low pH conditions. The device is designed to fluoresce in the presence of high chloride concentrations. The Pgad promoter in front of the GFP is activated by the combination of high extracellular hydrogen ion concentration and the presence of high intracellular chloride ion concentration.
Notes
The Pgad part was not in the registry so the promoter had to be PCR'd out of an unknown vector sent by the CUHK 2011 team
