Description
This construct was developed by Northwestern's 2012 iGEM team as part of a phytase producing vector meant to self lyse in high chloride and low pH conditions. The device is designed to constitutively produce aspergillus niger phytase. This phytase acts to break down phytic acid into inositol, releasing chelated iron and other micronutrients.
Notes
None besides primer design for pcring out the aspergillus niger phytase from the genome
