Description

This is the nucleotide sequence of a cDNA clone of saxiphilin from the liver of the American Bullfrog, Rana Catesbeiana. Saxiphilin is a protein that binds a neurotoxin called saxitoxin. It is a non-membrane bound binding site and is considered to be a member of the transferrin family of plasma proteins.

Notes

Since it is a copy of a cDNA derived from RNA that is already spliced, the sequence only reflects the exon parts, not the introns.

Source

It comes from the cDNA corresponding to the RNA of the bullfrog (Rana Catesbeiana) liver.
