Description

Polychelatins are a polymer of glutathione that are used stress responses to toxins. The phytochelatins bind to the toxins (commonly heavy metal toxins like Arsenic) and are then transported in to the vacuole in order to isolate the toxins from important components in the cytosol such as vital proteins and organelles.

Notes

Unwanted restriction sites had to be removed.
