Description
Codes for the Old Yellow Enzyme 1 (OYE1) from Achromobacter sp. OYE1 is part of the Old Yellow Enzyme (OYE) family, all of which are thought to function in reducing alpha-beta unsaturated C=C double bonds. In our experiment, we are using OYE1 to reduce citral to citronellal (by reducing an alpha-beta unsaturated C=C double bond in citral).
OYE1 can be used by simply coding for the enzyme in a DNA sequence. As a result, the enzyme should be produced and can be used to reduce certain compounds that need to be introduced separately in vitro or in vivo.
Notes
Again, this came directly from GenBank (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/nuccore/JQ765594.1) with the caveat of having its final codon (i.e., its stop codon) cut out.

This part comes directly from GenBank (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/nuccore/JQ765594.1) except has its final codon (i.e., the stop codon) cut out. Note that this enables the sequence to be used using a FLAG/HIS tag afterwards.
Final Codon (i.e., Stop Codon): Removed
