Sequences BBa_M45172_sequence (Version 1)

Description

Lysine decarboxylase consumes protons to metabolize L-lysine to cadaverine and CO2. Expression of the cadA gene is normally controlled by cadC. Lysine decarboxylase uses pyridoxal 5'-phosphate as a cofactor. This is a HYPOTHETICAL part that has not gone under any testing but has been changed to biobrick format.

Notes

Sequence has strangely enough been optimized for expression within the Felix cattus genome. It is suggested that it be optimized again for the desired clone species. Prefix and suffix RE sites have been removed from the sequence. Again this part has not been tested and is HYPOTHETICAL only.
