when lambda cI is present reporter protein EYFP is produced. The production of EYFP is inhibited cooperatively by 434 cI.Notes
This design is a reporter for the Barkai Leibler oscillator with two 434 OR sites. The prescence of lambda cI will turn on the production of EYFP. The prescence of 434 cI will turn it off. The difference between this part and BBa_12013 is that 434 cI is binding cooperatively to the promoter.Source
