Description

RBS derived from phage T7 gene 4. Similar to I20298, but with the last (3') nucleotides removed. This produces an optimal aligned spacing of 5 nucleotides between the Shine-Dalgarno (SD) sequence and the ATG of the following CDS, when the RBS is placed immediately before the ATG i.e. without Biobrick "scar".
