Description
Not meant to be used as a single construction, but as a two-plasmid device.
BBa_I730002 and BBa_I730003 are the two half of this device, if one of them bears an ampicillin resistance gene and the other a kanamicine one, you could be able of detect whatever you want (assembling the 'sensing' parts upstream of both constructs) and have a wished output (assembling the 'output' parts downstreams of both constructs).
As a proof of principle, for our iGEM 2007 project we have designed a comparator that has pOmpR and pOmpRm as inputs and fluorescence outputs. But we are aware of the huge modularity and potential of this device.
Both halfs have been fully sequenced!!
Notes
Not meant to be assembled, but each half of the construct on a different plasmid with different resistance.
