Description
First half of the LacZ Gene (LacZ-1), split for use in HPP (Hamiltonian Path Problems). It is the necessary complement half of BBa_J119004, without the other, neither will function. They are intended to be re-assembled via transformation in E Coli Jm109. It functions as a reporter gene when properly assembled with LacZ-2 by producing blue coloring (non-fluorescing) when X-Gal is present. Can be used in conjunction with other split genes but must have the complement to report properly.

Notes
This is NOT a BioBrick part. It is only functional if properly re-assembled with J11904. Can be used in combination with other split-genes to solve HPP (Hamiltonian Path Problems).
