Description
This plasmid is used to destroy the XbaI or SpeI restriction sites of a biobricked part.
Inserting an XbaI/PstI fragment of a biobrick part into the SpeI/PstI sites of pSB*dXS destroys the XbaI site resulting in a plasmid named pSB*dX-[part_name].
Inserting an EcoRI/SpeI fragment of a biobrick part into the EcoRI/XbaI sites of pSB*dXS destroys the SpeI site resulting in a plasmid named pSB*dS-[part_name].
To construct restiction-site deficient variants of a part in a different pSB* plasmid, transfer the EcoRI/PstI fragment into similar sites.
