Description
This part produces the LacI_X86 protein under the control of the tetR promoter. This protein is a variation on the LacI protein and has a missense mutation at amino acid 61 that changes the amino acid serine to the amino acid leucine.Notes
In designing the mutation, we chose the amino acid that would represent leucine by deducing which leucine amino acid was most common in the rest of the LacI gene sequence.Source
