Description

PhlbA allows constitutive expression in L. bulgaricus. CrtB encodes phytoene synthase, part of the carotenoid biosynthesis pathway, which converts geranylgeranyl diphosphate to phytoene (Misawa, N., Nakagawa, N., Kobayashi, K., Yamano, S., Nakamura, K., and Harashima, K. 1990.
