Description

PhlbA allows constitutive expression in L. bulgaricus. CrtI encodes phytoene dehydrogenase, part of the carotenoid biosynthesis pathway, which converts Phytoene to Lycopene (Misawa, N., Nakagawa, N., Kobayashi, K., Yamano, S., Nakamura, K., and Harashima, K. 1990.
