Description
The P1 lytic replication region, from Enterobacteria phage P1, contains RepL which initiates replication at origin L (interior to RepL). It is regulated by a lacI promoter. When present in a cell producing LacI, the copy number is <10 copies per cell. If IPTG is added to the media, the promoter is "un-locked", causing the plasmid to be produced at >100+ copies per cell.
Notes
This part is under construction. A terminator (B1006) will be added.
