Description
PpDyP gene (861bp) from Pseudomonas putida is a relatively novel gene, but which appears to be able to oxidise a wide variety of substrates at high efficiency, like that of azo dyes, anthraquinones, phenolic compounds, manganese, or veratryl alcohol.
Notes
When designing PCR primers to change the PpDyP gene into the BioBrick format, we also had to design primers for site-directed mutagenesis, as there is 1 illegal restriction site within the native gene: EcoRI at position 72.
