Description

This construct allows for the overexpression of the NhaR transcriptional activator. Overexpression of NhaR has been shown to increase biofilm formation in E. coli. This part is intended for use in projects aiming to use or explore biofilm formation.

Notes

This constitutive promoter was chosen for its high activity. Similarly the RBS and Terminator were chosen because of their reliability and efficiency.

Source

The coding sequence for NhaR was taken from the E. coli K-12 genome and the other parts were received in the parts distribution kit.
