Sequences BBa_K138001_sequence (Version 1)

Description

BBa_K138000 was cut with NdeI/SpeI and ligated with a mutant form of NifL digested with NdeI/SpeI. The mutant form of NifL binds and sequesters NifA with a higher affinity than the wild-type NifL does.

Notes

NifA and NifL are proteins involved in nitrogen fixation in Azobacter vinelandii.

Source

BBa_K138000 was created by the Michigan Team for iGEM 2008. NifL was a PCR product from pIM18. We received pIM18 form Dr. Ray Dixon, of the John Innes' Center in the United Kingdom
