Description

This circuit mainly contains luxI gene which stands for AHL synthetase coding sequence. AHL is the communicator signal we adopt to connect Streptococcus mutans and Escherichia coli with S.m. killing gene.
While the chemical signal AHL is successfully generated, the killing gene(Endolysin coding sequence) inside E.coli would be triggered and begins to destruct the cell wall of our target harmful germ, Streptococcus mutans.

Notes

We have to design PCR primers of the constitutive promoter region of Streptococcus mutans to get the constitutive expression of the LuxI gene.
