Description

Thread biopolymer filament subunit gamma (Eptatretus stoutii)

This part is intended to be produced as a component of an intermediate filament construct. TBFG codes for the γ protein subunit of the Hagfish thread biopolymer. It is intended to assemble as part of a coiled-coil heterodimer of an α/γ intermediate filament.

Notes

Sequence is codon optimised for expression in E. coli.

The part DNA was artificially synthesised based on the mRNA sequence from Koch, et al (1994).

Protein is originally expressed by Pacific Hagfish (Eptatretus stoutii). DNA sequence was codon optimised using codon optimisation software and synthesised by Gen9.
