Description

Invasin enables bacteria to invade mammalian cells via beta-integrin mediated endocytosis. Invasin was codon optimised for lactococcus species, and the lactococcal Usp45 signal peptide was added to localise it to the outermembrane.

Notes

This part was assembled by overlap PCR of 5 IDT gBlocks, and certain codons were changed to allow for this format of DNA synthesis.

Source

The invasin gene was originally source by the Warsaw 2010 team from the bacterium Yersinia something or other.
