Description

We have submit VMA, a intein which can self-splice at 18℃, means that it can catalyze its own excision from the flanking polypeptides, or exteins, as well as ligation of the exteins. VMA Dead is an inactivated mutation of VMA, we constructed it by replace Asn-464 with Gln. We design this part as a control group of VMA.We constructed this part from VMA Dead and its exteins in original host.

Notes

VMA Dead is a inactivated mutation of VMA, we constructed it by replace Asn-464 with Gln. We design this part as a control group of VMA. We constructed this part from VMA Dead and its exteins in original host. This VMA Dead part is an inactivated intein with 10 residues of native N-exteins and C-exteins of VMA at the junction. While fusing intein to protein, users can fuse the intein with it's flanking residues (we recommand 2~3 residues).

Source

We mutated a amino acid of VMA by PCR to get this part.
