Description

Same as part BBa-K1848001 except possessing upstream signal peptide PhoA. This signal peptide shuttle's the target protein into the extracellular space via the type II secretion pathway. This signal peptide is E. coli specific and might not work well within other species of gram negative bacteria.

Notes

Notably, concentration of secreted protein is much lower than internal concentration. As such supernatant need be concentrated before protein screening occurs.
