Sequences BBa_K2055025_sequence (Version 1)

Description

This composite part uses the T7 promoter in order to express the enzyme sulfur reductase, which catalyzes the simultaneous oxidation and reduction of elemental sulfur in the presence of oxygen, with sulfite and hydrogen sulfide as products.

Notes

It should be used in expression systems where T7 promoter is cotransfected with T7 RNA polymerase (DE3 systems).

Source

The sequence of the sulfur reductase was obtained from UniProt. It corresponds to the SOR gene of Acidianus ambivalens, accession number P29082.
