Description

A new chimeric protein that include both DNA Binding Domain (DBD) and Heat Labile Toxin B (LTB) connected via a linker.

LTB is an enterotoxin from E.coli, not toxic.
LTB can used as a homing device, since it can bind, with high affinity (KD 10-10 ??? 10-12 M), to the various ganglioside molecules present on the cell membrane of all epithelial cells.

DBD, wass originally taken from a virus, has the ability to bind DNA.

LTB+DBD can used as a delivery system, in vivo, for DNA into Epithelial cell tissue.

Notes

LTB and DBD have to include in betwwen a liner of ~20 amino acid long.

Source

LTB comes from E.coli
DBD comes from AV1 virus
