Sequences BBa_K2110007_sequence (Version 1)

Description

This part consists of the enhanced promoter PGK1(BBa_K2110012), the tpaK gene(BBa_K2110003), and the terminator CYC1(BBa_K2110000). The tpaK gene encodes the terephthalic acid (TPA) transporting protein. TPA is not a kind of nutrient substance for most organisms, including common chassis organisms like E.coli and Saccharomyces cerevisiae. However, as a kind of TPAdegradable organism, RhodococcusjostiiRHA1 can transport TPA into their cells because of the TPA transporting protein gene tpaK in their genome. This gene is also verified to be useful in Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
