Description
Three proteins subunits of a bacterial micro-compartment. The genes are in the pSB1C3 plasmid. Three total genes are present, two are together in a single operon and the single gene is upstream from the pair. They are flanked directly upstream by a mutated Lac promoter to make them constitutive. The genes were amplified by PCR from genomic DNA using primers that would introduce restriction sites flanking the genes.
Notes
The genes were amplified by PCR from genomic DNA using primers that would introduce restriction sites flanking the genes. The genes were ligated into a modified pUC biobrick vector containing a constitutive promoter. The genes were taking in their native operons and ligated sequential according to size.
