Description
This integrase comes from the double-stranded HK022 DNA enterobacteriophage of Escherichia coli, member of the lambdoid or lambda-like group of phages.
This protein is necessary for both the integration and the excision of the phage DNA into the host cell.
The integration process only requires Int to be expressed, and recombines the attP site from the phage with the attB attachment site on the bacterial chromosome.
Notes
The original RBS was kept, superposed with the end of the Xis gene.
Source
Parts come from a PCR amplification on a genomic source.
