Description
The xylE gene was PCR'd out of genomic DNA provided by David Lain Houston* with primers adding Silver Lab Biofusion Standard prefix/suffix. A C-terminal arginine tail was then added (BBa_K249005).Based on characterization on Arg-tagged fluorescent proteins done by the Lethbridge 2010 team, it was decided that the Arg-tag on xylE would be C-terminal.
