Sequences BBa_K807002_sequence (Version 1)

Description

This part is a synthetic transcriptional activator with specificity for the LexA operator site. It is inactive in its native form but can be activated by the addition of Beta-Estradiol. The Beta-Estradiol acts to dimerize the activator.

Notes

LexA DBD was yeast optimized and synthesized by IDT. We had to ensure that LexA DBD and hER did not have stop codons in order for the fusion protein to be built.

hER - Human
VP16 - Herpes virus
