Description
This part codes for the chloramphenicol acetyltransferase (cat) gene used in Bacillus subtilis for resistance against the antibiotic chloramphenicol. We constructed it in the freiburg standard (Assembly 25) for in-frame fusion-proteins. There is a Shine-Dalgarno Sequence (RBS) optimized for Bacillus subtilis included between the XbaI and NgoIV restriction site. You can use it both N-and C terminal fusions.
Notes
We constructed the part in the freiburg standard (Assembly 25). We included a Bacillus optimized RBS between the XbaI and NgoIV restriction site.
