Description

E. coli codon optimised Synechocystis Heme Oxygenase with a Ribosome Binding Site (RBS) and T7 promoter (Part BBa1719005, oxidises Heme into biliverdin which absorbs light in the 360 nm and 650 nm wavelength producing a green colouration.

Notes

GC rich regions, which formed hairpin loops in synthesis, were removed. Restriction sites were removed to conform to biobrick standards.

The part was codon optimsed (http://www.bioinformatics.org/sms2/rev_trans.html) from Synechocystis and assembled using Gibson Assembly. Select GC rich regions were removed.
