Description
Part codes for the mRNA sequence for poly-beta-hydroxybutyrate polymerase, which synthesizes poly-3-hydroxybutyrate from glucose. Part should be inserted within pD431-SR with T7 promoter. Poly-3-hydroxybutyrate is a biodegradable polymer, which will break down after it fulfills its intended function and this part is intended to provide a means with which to synthesize the described useful polymer. Part is intended to be transformed into E. coli and grown on kanamycin plates. Expression of the vector can be induced with IPTG.
Notes
Design considerations include keeping the DNA sequence less than 1500 bp, avoiding the sites BsbI, BsaI, and BsmBI, and having less than 5 repeats of 10 bp.
Source
Source of the part is the genomic sequence Xanthomonas campestris pv. raphani 756C, specifically G0CFI5.
