This device consists of the following parts in sequential order: a medium strength bicistronic RBS (BBa_M36516), a silaffin encoding gene (BBa_M36515), and a strong transcription terminator (BBa_J61048).

Notes

We had to optimize for E. coli. This actuator takes in a PoPs signal and produces silaffin, which can then be extracted to precipitate silica.
