Description

In complex with the inducer 3-oxo-hexanoyl-HSL, the activator LuxR binds to the Lux promoter and enables expression. This construct provides all the parts required to express the gene behind the Lux promoter. Only the inducer 3-oxo-hexanoyl-HSL is missing, which usually is taken up from the media. By the regulation of the inducer's concentration in the media, the expression rate of the gene of interest (in this case ampicillin beta-lactamase) can be controlled.

Notes

no considerations.
