Description
The GFP present in this part is modified from (BBa_K208000 http://parts.igem.org/wiki/index.php?title=Part:BBa_K208000), with stop codon removed to allow for full translation to 10x His Tag, BBa_K844000 (http://parts.igem.org/wiki/index.php?title=Part:BBa_K844000). This part is useful as it allows the user to carry out gene expression studies and purify the final protein-GFP-His Tag fusion if desired. The prefix in front of the GFP is RFC 23 compatible to allow for in-frame expression of genes.Once protein expression has been demonstrated the gene can be put in front of BBa_K844000 for protein purification without the GFP.
