Project

Sequences BBa_K1662002_sequence (Version 1)

Description

The purpose of this construct is to produce a single mRNA transcript that it can be translated into one fusion protein. This protein will be led into the periplasm of E. Coli because the PelB leader sequence leads the protein into the periplasm. Th PelB leader sequence leads the protein into the perpiplasm to keep the expression of the CDA gene from killing the E. Coli. The eGFP gene is there to allow the lab workers to see physically (green fluorescent light) that the mRNA transcript has been successfully translated and that the genes are being expressed correctly.

Notes

Wobble introduced to eliminate illegal restriction sites.

Source

Mature CDA2 comes from saccharomyces cerevisiae. PelB sequence was pulled from the iGEM registry.
