Sequences BBa_K1922009_sequence (Version 1)

Description

Since the telomerase is activated in almost cancer cells and we hope hTert promoter can improve the targeting in thermotherapy. To test if the promoter can help the overexpression of selected gene, we make it linked with a GFP. So when we transfect the plasmid in telomerase positive and negative cells, different results can be observed, which means we can make sure the promoter is working, when GFP is seen in cancer cells instead of negative ones.

Notes

In our experiment, we use FUGW as the backbone, which contains a promoter itself, but we need insert an additional promoter. So how to remove its own promoter is important for our design.

Source

The hTert promoter is from genomic sequence of human.
GFP is from the genomic Aequorea victoria.
