Description
This MammoBlock composite device produces the AVPR2-TEVs-Gal4-VP16 synthetic fusion receptor adapted from the proprietary Tango system. This device is designed to activate expression from UAS-Gal4-driven elements in the presence of vasopressin and the B-Arrestin-2-TEV-Protease construct. Transcription of the AVPR2-TEVs-Gal4-VP16 receptor is driven by the Hef1a-LacO promoter and therefore repressible by LacI variants.
Notes
In order to adhere to the recombination-based MammoBlock standard, and because shipping Biosafety Level 2 mammalian expression vectors to the Registry of Standard Biological Parts is not currently possible, we are providing the sequence resulting from Gateway recombination of the constituent MammoBlock parts here without redistributing the physical DNA plasmids to the Registry. In future years, we hope to make use of improvements in the Registry's accomodations to provide our complete expression vectors.
