Sequences BBa_M41006_sequence (Version 1)

Description

This is a sequence for hydrocarbon sensor. The input for this sensor is n-alkane chain and output is LacI. It has a sequence which encodes membrane protein (AlkL) and chemotaxis protein (AlkN) responsible for hydrocarbon sensing. This sequence does not code for any major alkane degrading enzymes except AlkL and AlkN.

Notes

This sensor is specific for our system. The output can be changed by removing LacI gene and adding other gene.
